AV 10

The AV 10 is the current Marantz reference pre-pro, the 16-channel processor that anchors a high-end separates system above the AV 7706 in the line. Dirac Live is the room correction (full-version with the optional Bass Control license that replaces the older Audyssey MultEQ XT32), Auro-3D and IMAX Enhanced are decoded natively, and HDMI 2.1 with 8K support is current spec. At its price tier the cross-shop is the Anthem AVM 90 and the Storm Audio ISP MK2; the Marantz buy reason is HDAM-SA preamp circuitry (Marantz's discrete-current op-amp signal path that's measurably different from the IC-op-amp competition) plus the Dirac Live with bass control, the trade-off versus the Anthem is the AVM 90's ARC Genesis room correction's longer history of bass-management refinement.
