Compare Diffusor — Side-by-Side Specs
Diffusor comparisons center on scattering frequency and diffusion pattern (QRD, skyline, hemispherical). Well depth sets the lower frequency limit (λ/4 = depth); well width sets the upper limit. A 1-inch-well diffusor won't scatter below a few kHz. Diffusors only do useful work above the room's Schroeder frequency (typically 200–400 Hz residentially) — below that, treat with absorption. Use diffusion on rear walls; use absorption on first-reflection points.
